Colloquies

Over the course of the year, in all seasons and conditions, pieces were buried and collected, lost and found again. The outcome was always unpredictable. In this sense, the process was akin to an act of stewardship and of continuously letting go, analogous to the act of parenting children. Presented here, is a sample of what the ocean returned to us. Each work is a record of its time spent at sea and our conversations with Breaker Bay. The Colloquies is part of the Rock-A-Bye Baby project, which is support in part by the College of Creative Arts, Massey University.
